LICENSE
Robusta construction makes sure to follow rules and laws, in addition of our contractor’s license, we have a complete 2 millions dollars liability insurance, guarantee plan for new homes and we are a member of the Association de la construction du québec (ACQ).
According to the law, it is mandatory to be a license holder from the Régie du Bâtiment du Québec to be able to present ourselves as a construction contractor.
Having a license means:
- We passed skill test on different levels: management, construction techniques, safety and laws.
- We’ve furnished a guarantee of 20,000$ to the RBQ in case of fraud or embezzlement.
Disadvantage of doing your project under the table: no bills, no official contract, no warranties, no possibilities to get help from the RBQ in case the project goes wrong or in case of fraud/conflict.
Ask to see the license when you do an estimate, note the number and the categories that the contractor has which allows him to do or not do the work you’ll hire him to do. The people from the RBQ will be glad to help you and inform you about your contractor.
